Mattel Q&A For June 1st

Mattel took time out to answer some questions:

1) This is a long winded question, but across the web, people are quick to criticize Mattel on the distribution of the various action figure lines. Obviously once it leaves your docks & arrives at distribution centers for Wal-Mart & Target, it's the stores responsibility to distribute the figures to their stores. And then the individual stores to supply the figures to the racks. Where does Mattel fit into this process, if at all?

Mattel takes orders from our retail partners and supplies them either directly from our factories in China or domestically from our domestic (USA) warehouses. Once product is in the hands of a retail partner it is up to them to bring it to the shelf.

2) Are there any plans to have Legion of Super-Heroes figures in the JLU line? From the "Far From Home" story.

Possibly…

3) What is the street date for the new Super Friends figures?

Hawkman and Cyborg should be out this summer.

4) Are any movies beside The Dark Knight and Batman Begins going to be in Movie Masters line, like Superman Returns?

We do not have plans for Superman Returns at this time, but we do have big big plans for the Movie Masters line. You will just have to wait for Comic Con San Diego.

5) Is Mattel planning on having a website where people can see the various DC lines? You have other lines that have sites, why not the DC stuff?

This is something we are working on and hope to have news at San Diego Comic Con.
